CEO Message

Genomic Health is more than just a business — it is our quest to make a difference by helping friends and loved ones manage a challenging disease. The company was founded with a focus on cancer because we believe there is an immediate opportunity to impact the quality of care for cancer patients.

Our first product, Oncotype DX®, was developed to improve the quality of treatment decisions for women with breast cancer. We believe this is a significant advance. It is the beginning of a whole new approach to understanding and treating cancer at the molecular level. We believe that correlating genomic information with clinical outcomes and making that information available to individual patients and their healthcare providers will have a profound effect on the quality of care. That is why we conducted multiple large clinical studies with world-renowned clinical research groups to validate Oncotype DX.

Our passion is to combine our collective experience in the scientific and business worlds in building a successful company, as measured by the difference we make for cancer patients. We believe that putting the patient's healthcare interests first is the core strength of our business and that nothing could be more rewarding than knowing that we can improve the quality of life for cancer patients.
