Social Impact

Genomic Health’s corporate mission is to transform the quality of treatment decisions and outcomes for patients living with cancer, and improve access to our test for patients worldwide. Our industry leading Oncotype DX tests reduce the cost of unnecessary, harmful, and toxic treatments, thereby improving patient health while providing significant cost savings to the global healthcare system. In delivering more than 1 million Oncotype DX tests, Genomic Health has spared countless patients both over and under-treatment of cancer.

Employee Engagement and Compensation

We invest significant resources to develop the talent needed to keep the company at the forefront of innovation, delivering web-based and face-to-face training annually and providing cross-training opportunities through our Specialized Talent Exchange Program (STEP). Genomic Health has several “green” initiatives at its Redwood City headquarters, including initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint through environmentally sustainable water use and paper waste. We are converting existing fluorescent lighting to LED to reduce electric energy consumption, and provide electric vehicle charging stations on our campus for employee use.

Workplace Health & Safety

Genomic Health continuously seeks to ensure the workplace is safe and free of hazards in both the office and laboratory settings. Laboratory personnel observe and practice specific procedures that help to reduce risk of injury. Genomic Health is committed to the health of its employees and provides a proactive, best practices ergonomics program to help improve overall workplace health and reduce ergonomic injuries. Genomic Health is subject to regulation in a variety of health, safety, and environmental areas at federal and state levels, and is compliant with all such requirements.

Supply Chain

Actively managing our supply chain creates business value for Genomic Health and our customers by helping us reduce risks, improve product quality, achieve environmental and social goals, and raise the overall performance of our suppliers. Over the past five years, we have completed numerous supplier audits in conformance with our quality management system. We have a global code of conduct responsive to our corporate mission, which includes ensuring our suppliers are compliant with appropriate regulations, including anti-bribery and FCPA laws.

Employee Diversity
